This class focuses on individuals and works that best illuminate the 19th Century. We will identify some themes that found expression in art, literature and music and examine the cultural and historical context that gave birth to them - from Delacroix to Manet, Wordsworth to Dostoyevsky, Beethoven to Bizet.
